Finding a Hair Loss Solution
Hair loss is a problem that affects many people worldwide. If you're one of them, then you're probably seeking a hair loss solution. There are many different treatments available for hair loss. But before considering any of them, it's important to determine why you're experiencing excessive hair loss.
Some of the causes of hair loss include some medications, hormonal imbalances, illness, disease, nutritional deficiency, and even excessive stress. And as you're probably already aware, genetics can also play a large role, especially for men. If your father and/or grandfather experienced hair loss or baldness, it's a distinct possibility that you will also. When you first discover that you're losing hair at an accelerated rate, see your doctor. He or she can examine you thoroughly and figure out exactly why you're experiencing the hair loss. Then, you'll be ready to begin treatment.
The type of treatment you'll undergo will depend on the cause of your hair loss. For hair loss associated with medication, your prescription will probably be changed. If you're losing hair due to stress, illness, or nutritional deficiency, you'll probably be put on a nourishing diet, given appropriate medication and taught how to manage your emotional issues. If the problem is deemed to be genetic, your doctor may recommend a topical, over the counter product such as Rogaine. In more stubborn cases, there is an orally administered pill called Propecia that can work for male pattern baldness.
Sometimes, hair loss is simply a byproduct of styling abuse. This is the simplest cause to treat. If you're doing a lot of heat styling, cut back and let your hair dry naturally instead of blowdrying it. Embrace your straight tresses rather than damaging your hair with perms or hot rollers. Learn to love your natural color. By reducing the strain on your hair and using a regular hot oil or deep conditioning treatment, you can dramatically reduce hair loss due to styling or other damaging factors.
The first step to finding a hair loss solution is seeking medical advice. Sometimes hair loss can be a result of a more dangerous condition, so always see your doctor if you're losing hair. With a little patience and the right treatment, your hair loss can be a thing of the past!
